Belt Fed Girl - 'Old West' Gunfighter With Two Pistols - By Colonel Bills

Here's my version of "BFG16 - Calamity Jane - Wild West Legend" which I've painted to use with my Dead Man's Hand Desperado Gang.

I kept the 'conversion' simple - a straight forward paint job over the bared torso. I didn't alter the stock figure in anyway, then people can see how simple it is to alter the bare-breasted figure, if they prefer.

I've one last figure to paint for the gang, then I'll take a group shot - and then people can see how the Belt Fed Girl sizes up alongside a Great Escape, Artizan, Ironclad and several Foundry figures.
Here's a photo of the model taken from the Colonel Bills website - [artist unknown]

Here's the LINK to the website where the unpainted figure can be purchased.
Cheers,
Roy

  1. Very nice Roy, if it is possible there are too many bare breasted women in the wargaming world

    1. @Martin Cooke: Thank you, and, yes, I agree.

That point you mention was something that I was discussing with Stuart, last Tuesday. Unfortunately bare-breasted sculpts are better sellers than clothed, it seems, so sculptors/manufacturers provide what the market demands.

In this case I needed a 'female' fighter with two pistols - to match the stat in the DMH rules book - and using a 'topless' miniature seemed incongruous to a Western gunfight.

I've got to admit that I'm rather pleased with how the miniature turned out. The low brimmed hat and the part-sneer to her face really work in making her the 'Killer' gang member for my DMH Desperado gang, I think.

  3. Nice ideal on the shirt. This miniature actually made me laugh just because of the pose.

      Yes, it's a characterful figure.

  4. As with many of the Belt Fed gang you kind of imagine her on a stage in a sleazy bar.

let us all blame Stu for peddling in filthy smut and pornography!

    1. @Clint: Haha, she could be the 'Wild West' part of a stage show - doing stunt shooting with her six guns, 'popping' balloons from a target at the other end of the stage.

...You haven't seen my Depot Battalion/Dixon Miniatures 'Old West' Pornographic Photography diorama yet! That dio' is going in one of my Town buildings, in the back room, with the curtains drawn :))

From a usefulness/gaming point of view, I think the clothed option makes more sense. If someone wants a collectible to sit on their shelf in the man-cave then, fair enough, go for the Page 3 variant.
It seemed a bit incongruous to have a semi-naked gunfighter, so hence the paint job. It has fixed my need for a female with two pistols, however.
